Parent-Child Touchdown Toss Day / Connecticut at Temple Football

FamilyThere will be more than meets the eye when the Temple University Owls play their final regular season home football game against the University of Connecticut Huskies on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Following the game, which takes place at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, there will be a truly fun event that is known as Parent-Child Touchdown Toss Day. After the final whistle blows, all kids who are 14 years old and under, and accompanied by an adult, will be invited onto the field for a chance to score a touchdown. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime to be on a real football field and cross the goal-line after catching a pass.

Competing in the NCCA’s American Athletic Conference, the Temple Owls had a great year in 2009 when they amassed a 9-4 record. They played in the EagleBank Bowl against the UCLA Bruins and were on the losing end of a 30-21 contest. It was the first time the Owls had appeared in a bowl game since 1979 when they participated in the now-defunct Garden State Bowl. In 2010, the team came very close to back-to-back bowl game appearances but they lost a pivotal match-up with Ohio University and finished the season 8-4, not quite enough for another post-season opportunity. But that was then and this is now. And you’ve got a great chance to let your child score a touchdown at Lincoln Financial Field during Parent-Child Touchdown Toss Day. Call 215-204-8499 for details.
