Josh Groban

Concerts & MusicSinger Josh Groban started out as a theater major but when his vocal coach sent an audition to tape of his to a producer friend, acting took a major backseat to singing. Apparently, it was a good choice. In 2007, Groban was ranked as the top musical artist in America, selling more than 21 million records, including four that went multi-platinum. His sixth and most recent album, “All That Echoes,” came out in February of this year and it sold 141,000 copies, making it number one. Fans of the singer who live in the Philadelphia area can catch him live on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. The event is part of his In The Round North America Tour.

Clearly, Groban has earned the respect of a lot of people as is quite evident from some of his most notable performances in the recent past. He sang “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” with Heather Headley at President Obama’s first inauguration in 2009 and he performed the Star Spangled Banner with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the 2010 BCS National Championship Game at the Rose Bowl. It should be noted that Groban’s theatrical studies did not go to waste as he has appeared on episodes of “Ally McBeal” and Glee” as well as in the film “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” In addition to Philadelphia, Groban will be taking his tour to Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Fort Lauderdale, and Dallas.
